Quio is one of the few female MCs in the German club scene. Her styles span from Drum & Bass and HipHop up to 2Step Garage and Grime.
Her musical career started in 1990 as DJ in Bremen.
A short time after that she moved to Berlin and founded
a band. Her first experience on stage was as a singer.
In 1997 the female inaugurators of the Berlin Drum & Bass Club WTF founded the woman-party-collective
G-POINT: She became Drum & Bass MC.
As MC Looney Tunes she performed in almost every relevant club in Berlin and was touring through Germany and Europe. Together with DJ CHRISTINE LANG and DJ G-Serve she founded the party series "on bass tracks". Shortly after that they also started a radio show under the same name on radio Twen FM wich later turned into the weekly show "Underground Essentials" that featured as well Grime. The pirate radio Twen Fm was running from 1999 until the end of 2005.
In 1999 QUIO met the female Berlin elektronic producer AGF. After various collaborations they started working on a new project together: QUIO's first album „...like oooh!“ was released in november 2005 on the agf production label. A tour through Europe followed - together with her backround singers Lise and Susius.
And in september 2007 they released "Phiu", with prominent guests: Shut up and Dance-Legend NICOLETTE, brasilian Baile Funk hero EDU K, afro-american writer DARIUS JAMES and heavy-bass-producer AL HACA. She kicked her "Phiu"-Shows worldwide.

Since 2011 Quio is working on rhymes in german language - such as her her songs in radio plays and raggamuffin interpretation of german poet Frau Ava (*1060) in old german on AGFs compilation "Gedichterbe".
